Other Ways to Give

If you have any questions on how you can contribute to Shepherds of Love, call us at 405-348-1167.

Wishlist – Shepherds of Love can always use donations of supplies. Here is a list of supplies we can use currently:

  • Bibles
  • Devotional Books
  • Greeting Cards
  • Walmart Gift Cards for winter coats, shoes, backpacks, personal hygiene, and food.
  • Hobby Lobby Gift Cards for Utility Blessing Trees and decor.

Volunteer – The personal investment of your time is just as impactful as your financial contributions. There are several volunteer opportunities available to assist the clients we serve. Contact us if you, your church or business would like to volunteer.

Host a Fundraiser – Gather your friends, family, church or workplace to host a benefit for Shepherds of Love Ministries. You can host a luncheon, dinner, or reception to introduce your friends to our mission. Contact Teresa Rountree today to discuss your idea for a fundraiser.

Memorial and Honor Gifts – Make a gift in honor or memory of a loved one or in celebration of an anniversary or birth. Your contribution will be acknowledged with a card informing the family member of your generous gift, though the amount will remain confidential.

Matching Gifts – Many corporations match employee gifts up to three times the original amount given. By providing Shepherds of Love Ministries with the proper return forms, your gift can be greatly maximized by taking advantage of the corporate matching gift monies.

Securities and Gifts – Significant tax advantages are available when a donor contributes stocks, bonds or other types of securities. In many instances, this type of giving allows the donor to avoid paying capital gains tax. Gifts of appreciated securities or stock can be one of the most advantageous ways of giving. The donor receives a tax deduction for the market value on the date that the gift is given. The gift of real estate and personal property also can benefit the donor through a tax deduction and an avoidance of capital gains.

Wills and Bequests – By naming Shepherds of Love Ministries in your will, you will also receive an estate tax deduction for the value of your bequest. With proper planning, you can also determine the use of the funds you are giving through your will.

Retirement Plan – Designate Shepherds of Love Ministries as a beneficiary of the remainder of your IRA, tax-sheltered annuity or qualified pension-sharing plan.

Deferred Planned Gifts – Many of these methods can provide immediate tax benefits and guaranteed annual income to you or those you name. After the lifetime of the named beneficiary, Shepherds of Love Ministries will then have ultimate use of the gift and carry out the provision set forth by the donor.

Life Insurance Gifts – Life Insurance Gifts of an old or new policy can provide an immediate tax deduction, as well as allow the donor to make a significant gift with little expenditure. To qualify, Shepherds of Love Ministries becomes the owner and beneficiary of the policy. Premiums are paid to Shepherds of Love Ministries by the donor, thus resulting in a charitable contribution. Or, the donor may choose to leave Shepherds of Love Ministries as beneficiary of the policy.

In-Kind Gifts – Donations of gift cards, personal hygiene items and gasoline cards are always needed.   Please see the Wish List for a full list of our current needs. (Create a wish list for donors).
